Update from Jon Whitcombe, Trust Principal -
As you will be aware, the DfE has stated that Year 10 and Year 12 students will receive some “face to face” contact with their teachers during Term 6. Currently, we are awaiting guidance from the DfE as to what this means in practice.
Once the guidance is published we will develop our plans and make the necessary arrangements. On June 1st we will write to you explaining what “face to face” means in practice and we will be in a position to confirm when this will commence.
Please note that the current arrangements for online teaching for Years 10 and 12 will continue until further notice.- Read More

At The Whitstable School, we are committed to developing pupils’ opportunities for speaking and listening, building confidence and using oracy as a way to embed knowledge. KS3 pupils take part in ‘Teacher of the Week’, a chance to share their passion about a hobby whilst teaching others in the class. The Debating Club is popular with many pupils taking part in this weekly club, building up their knowledge and skills in readiness for summer competitions. As part of this initiative, we are proud to present inspirational speakers in our ‘An Audience With’ series.
If you have an inspiring job you could share with pupils for our 'Spotlight on Careers' or have an amazing story to tell as part of 'An Audience With' then please contact Ms Gee firstname.lastname@example.org
